Happy Thanksgiving! We are so thankful for God's many blessings in our life. Cory pushing Bee in the stroller in Prospect Park. This post is dedicated to our family in Philadephia. Sorry it took me 42 Thousand weeks to get it posted.
We took the China Town Bus ($20 roundtrip tickets) to Philadelphia to visit baby Max, Hallie, Jon and Aunt Deb! Aunt Deb and my mom are cousins and they were great friends! It was so wonderful to hang out with them. Deb was visiting her grandson Max. Hallie and Jon have done an amazing job fixing up a row house. It was beatiful. We got to be the first ones to stay in the newly finished 3rd story guest room! I have a lot in common with Hallie. Including our favorite flower (dalhias). Hallie's front yard is full of them!
They took us on a walk along the river. It was beautiful!
Cory with baby Max. Max had just turned 1 month old! He is so cute!
A wonderful meal!
Will Max grow up rower? Hallie and Jon are competitive rowers! I made Max a bib.
They took us on a tour of Philadelphia. It was really cool!
We are in front of the art musuem. We ran up the steps (just as Rocky did in the movie).Bee
The Rocky Statue!
Leaves!
We went to the 30th Street Station to have lunch with Jon. He works for Amtrak and this is where he works! We had to go see the Liberty Bell. It was my favorite! I sure wish my mom could have been with us. She would have loved it!
This is where the Declaration of Independence was signed.
The grave of Benjamin Franklin.
Deb, Hallie, 2 sleeping babies and my sad face.
They took us to a really cool indoor market. There were so many things to look at!
Grandma Deb and baby Max!
Bee loves baby Max! Bee is signing her version of "baby."
She was very gentle with Max.
Mmmmm! Hallie made these amazing cookies!
Thanks again Hallie, Jon, Deb and Max for letting us visit you!
Bee's playful face!
My fresh flowers for my birthday that I am still enjoying! Thank you Dad, Jill, Mel and Jason.
Love to all! We wish we could be with all of our family on this Thanksgiving Day. Feel free to call us so we can video chat!
It's Fall Time In Brooklyn! I love the crisp air and the beautiful trees! Sunday after church we met Clem and Ryan in Prospect Park. Did you know that Bee can disco?
Bee and tata Clem!
Happy Baby Bee!
Monday was the nicest weather we might have for the rest of the year, so we took the subway to spend the day in Central Park. We explored a few of the playgrounds (there are 21 in Central Park).
This is it! My last year as a twenty year old. I better make it good!!!
Yesterday I had some friends over for a cupcake playdate! We all ate cupcakes and played with our kids! Fun was had!
Bryna and Felix, Jenna and James, A and B, Susan and Theo, Amy and Gaia
Bryant, Bee, James, Ellie, Gaia, Theo, Alice and Anna It was funny because all of the babies were crowded into one corner of the room at the same time (The secret: Bryant was handing out snacks!).
Ellie, Bee and Gaia had some fun!
James is so cute in his winter gear!
Amy brought me 3 packs of her kale chips!!! I love them! She now sells them in health food stores around the city!
I liked getting ot make a pretty table with yummy things to eat on it!
All of the desserts came from Lily and Fig Bakery except for the baby friendly cupcakes that Bryna made! We had 6 kinds of cupcakes (baby friendly, chocolate, red velvet, vanilla, coconut and lemon meringue).
They are such little girls now! They like to walk everywhere!
Thanks to all that helped to make this a special day for me!
I do have more CA pictures but I wanted to take a break from that to get caught up with more current information! Bee has been learning new things each day! A few highlights...she can stack blocks, she likes to feed me and herself with a spoon, and she signs new words almost every day (book is her latest).
The morning after we got back to Brooklyn we met Gaia and Amy at the children's musuem (thanks Shelley and Grandma Peggy for the membership). Bee missed her BFF Gaia!
Bee loves to splash in the water!
The babies versus the dinosaurs!
The Eames Chair!
Halloween 2009
Bee: Parrot Annie: Pirate Cory: Hipster Cowboy
We met lots of other birds!
Bee and Gaia and a dog!
I enjoyed looking at everyone's costumes!
Amy and I took the girls down 7th ave in Park Slope for some trick or treating. The streats were so crowed. Here we are trick or treating at Corcoran! Cory thinks of the town we know in CA called Corcorn and it makes us laugh because the Corcoran in Brooklyn is a fancy realty business with a motto "Live Who You Are."
Lots of superheros were out patrolling the streets!
This was one of my favorites. A little trash man complete with an awesome homemade garbage truck complete with working lights. The mom (the trash) was a friend of Amy's.
Edgar: Spider, Michelle: Butterfly caught in a web, Olgierd: Dad, Felix: dragon, Gaia: little chick
We all hung out at Michelle's house before the parade.
On Michelle's block is the Halloween Dad's house! Every year he makes an elaborate haunted house for kids to come to. This year's theme was Indiana Jones.
Bee waves to the people at the Park Slope Halloween Parade!
Bee wearing Gaia's shoes (they are too big for her too)."Look through this Gaia"
I received a fun surprise this week! A birthday present from Lyle and Marlene! Two fun cookbooks and homemade cookies!!! Thank you so much!!! We traveled to Manhattan on Tuesday to enjoy the nice fall weather! We took the train to Canal street and had fun walking around Chinatown. This street vendor had the best selection of green vegetables!
Fish Market! Bee smelled something fishy about this place!
The crabs were alive!
The vegetables look so good!
Lots of fun interesting things here! I bought some candies and tapioca balls.
Fun!
Not sure what they are playing.
Confucius Square
Bee has her own personal Mama Eatery that she goes to everyday!
Swing break!
I love Cory and Bee!
Kingsburg, Ca representing in China Town!
This picture is for Melissa's friend Mad Panda back in Lemoore!
Who will win?
Bubble tea for me! At a store in china town I bought my own bubbles (tapioca balls) and made my own Bubble (boba) tonight! Our friend Dennis wanted to open up a boba shop! I hope he does someday!
Neat!
Where in the world can you find a really cool globe on the side of the street? Chinatown!!!
A very interesting building.
We ate Himalayan food for the first time and it is now my new favorite!
Butter Lane is a new cupcake place in Manhattan. We just had to go! We love our cupcakes! They have three different types of cake and about 18 types of icings to choose from! That's 54 different cupcakes to choose from! I had a hard time but decided on my usual, chocolate with chocolate to be able to rate the cupcake fairly with others. I would give the frosting a 10 but a 6 for the cake. Instead of spending $3 on a cupcake, next time I will get the shot of frosting for $1. The frosting is my favorite part anyways!
Gaia came over to play! Bee loves Gaia! She wouldn't let Gaia leave her side for the first ten minutes! It's fun to watch them start to really enjoy each other!
Bee loves cats so much! She is really good at spotting anything that resembles a cat. She will say "yaya" (her version of cat) and I won't know what she is talking about until after a minute of looking I too find a cat. This happened in the store and there was a little ceramic cat sitting on a shelf. Bee loves her Jellycat! We do too! The brand Jellycat makes really good quality stuffed animals that are safe for little ones and look good too! My new secretary desk from Ikea! We bought it off craigslist and it is just what I needed. I used some birthday money to buy it! My goal is to have only my laptop and sewingmachine in the desk (not my usual clutter). Even though with a desk like this you just close the top and the clutter disappears! Cory is the sweetest husband. He wheeled this desk home from downtown Brooklyn to our hose (2.4 miles). Who needs a "man with a van" when you have a "husband with a furniture mover!" Thanks Cory! Bee and Gaia at the Childrens Musuem
Bee had a fun first birthday party! Thanks to all who came! Here are a few pictures! I will try to caption as best as I can. I will not be putting Cory, Annie or Bee next to the pictures. But I will tell you that we are Lions. I bought Cory's costume from a stoop sale this summer from a women who made it for the theatre ($2) and I bought the extra fabric ($1) and made the other two costumes while I was in Hanford. I thought Bee would have lasted 5 minutes in her costume but she didn't even notice!
Stephen as "Animal from the Muppets." He is our good friend and he is the one who took the awesome pictures of Bee. http://stephenabbas.blogspot.com
Kathy and Linda. Friends of mine! Kathy works at LHS and Linda used to be my boss at the awesome Cards a' Lemoore!
Jill, Dad, Melissa! My fam!
The amazing cake the Jill and Melissa made for me! What wasn't eaten at the party was eaten by me over the course of a week! I loved it! No hydrogenated oils!

Jessica and Cristina drove down from LA to come to Bee's First Birthday Party. The arrived on Friday night and had just enough time to give them a tour of the old downtown Hanford!
We started at the Fox Theatre.
Hanford Auditorium
I was scared!
Superior Dairy was closing when we arrived. Bummer!
The Bastille! Cory was informing them of the scary stories about this place!
A bad picture of the Carousel. Next time we are in town I want to take Bee for a ride on it!
The Court House. Which is not used as a court house any longer. Now different business operate out of this cool old building.
The Carnegie Museum. I learned that one of the things on display is a dress that was made for Amelia Earhart because her friend lived in Hanford and Amelia used to come and visit her! But the dress that was made for her was never picked up because she disappeared before she had a chance to get it. I think while I took this picture Cory was reenacting a scene from one of the movies he made.
Shadow Game!
Brown Shoes has been in Hanford for a very long time!!! We were looking at the Danskos in the window.
The old Phone Booth in the Opera House. People came from all over to visit the Hanford Opera House. Now the building is apartments.
The good old Comfort Inn. We showed them the room which was our Honeymoon Suite!
Annie, Cory and the BEE!!!
Art Works is being renovated.
The downtown Hanford Visitor center. Not sure if this tiny building was ever used but we think it's kinda funny.
We like this old motel sign.
Irwin Street Inn
The old Canon
Thanks again Jessica and Cristina for visiting Hanford! We miss you here in Brooklyn!
Here are more CA pictures! I will post even more tomorrow! I am trying to get caught up so I can post the recent pictures!
Jason and me at the LHS homecoming game!
I met a few classmates at the game for our 10 year reunion!
I think Bee spotted the cat!
Cory, Lyle, Nathan, Lois, Bee and Marlene. We had a little yard sale while we were in town. Bee is wearing Cory's baby shoes (he wore them at 5/6 months old) and she is sitting in Cory's stroller! Wow! As Marlene said "It's no Maclaren stroller but it get's the job done!" My friends came by! Melissa has been my friend since we were little girls. Now we have little girls!!!
My reunion was at a bar in Hanford. 10 years flew by!
Lots of classmates were there!
Uncle Nathan came down to visit Bee! This picture was taken just before he had to drive back home!
Bee had a lot of fun with her Mimi!
Church! Cory, Nathan, Kristian and Taylor!

Bee got into lots of trouble with Grandma's chocolate stash!
Puppies for Bee?!
Bee taught her Papa a few keyboard shortcuts!
Bee's actual birthday was during the week (her part was on Sat) but Mimi made sure she had lots of presents to open!
Bee turned one year old!!!
Bee opens a present from her Great Grandma Lois! It was a bubble machine!A family picture with a one year old baby Bee! This past year has been great! So many changes!!!
Lyle made me dinner and cookies! Wow! They were so good. My only regret is I left some of the cookies in his freezer! I hope they went to a good home!
Can you spot Cory in his boat? This is the reservoir/park behind Cory's house. Whenever there is a big rain it is a great spot for a boat ride!
Shelley taking Bee for a stroll! We had the best weather in CA! It was so warm!
Hi Great Grandma!
