Snow Bee! Happy New Year!

We have been enjoying all of the snow here in Brooklyn! Bee and I went out for a sled ride in the park! We were there as the sun was setting! I have lots more pictures and lots of Christmas pictures to blog but I'm afraid this might be the last picture of 2010! I hope everyone has fun celebrating the new year!

Jim Carrey came to Town

Jim Carrey's been filming his new movie "Mr. Popper's Penguin." Part of the movie was filmed on our block! They filmed exterios on Tuesday and moved inside for the interios on Wednesday. I talked with the woman whoes house they were using and she said that they were staying at a hotel while the film crew was in town! I was glad that she let them use her house! It was fun watching the film set!

Jim Carrey!
Film crew getting set up.
I was standing next to some paparazzi!
For the wide shots they needed the whole block to look like the day after a snow shower! So...they made it snow!!!
The blocks of ice were 300lbs each and took about 1 minute for the machine to make it into snow! This is the view from my window! Bee and I quickly ran outside to get a closer look!

Bee has snow in her hand! She wanted to bring it inside!

It was fun being the only block in all of NYC with snow on it!

A video of them making it snow!

Upcoming blogs include Christmas and the real Blizzard to come to NYC! Currently our block is literally full of real snow! They street has yet to be plowed so the street is full!!!!!

A Christmas Card Blog

Merry Christmas
2010
from Cory, Annie and Bee!

No Christmas Cards from us this year!
Instead I have made my version of a Christmas Card Blog!
I hope you enjoy it!

We patiently stood in line to see Santa at Macy's for one hour! Bee is a very patient 2 year old! As soon as Bee saw Santa she started to cry. She was scared. She did her best to smile for this picture!
Here she is crying in last year's picture! 2009
Part of the appeal of Macy's Santa Land is the set up they have created. Here Bee is ringing the bell at the beginning of the elaborate Santa Land set up.
Bee enjoying the Bears!
The Macy's window display always amazes me! This year's window tells a story! Each window is a different scene. I can't really describe it but the whole set moves! Bee had fun!
We walked from the Macy's at 34th Street up to Rockefeller Center. We walked along 5th Ave and marveled at the store displays! This was the biggest present I saw! Notice Bee and Cory walking across the street.

This is the biggest Christmas tree! Lots of presents can fit under it!
Watching the ice skating at the Rock!
Cory, Bee and another view of the tree!

Legoland opened up earlier this year next to the Rock and it was our first time in. We spent a whole minute in here until we decided to run out and not have to fight with the holiday crowd. After the holiday will be a great time to visit!

The water coming out of the mouth is not frozen but the rest is! By the way as I'm writing this blog it is totally snowing outside! Weather was in the 50s yesterday and tomorrow will be in the 20s for a couple of days! Ouch!

We then walked from the Rock to the Plaza Hotel Basement! We found Santa here too! They also had a nice holiday display set up and we got to go visit Eloise!
I'll post the Eloise video at another time.

Bee meets Santa Clause at the Plaza Hotel! Macy's Santa Land is fun but the Plaza Hotel has the real thing! Got to go back and see him next year! He was super nice and the beard is real! Bee tells Santa what she wants for Christmas!
She was not afraid of this Santa!

Bee has a present for all of you!

Outfits by Mimi!

Yesterday Bee got a big box of new clothes made by Mimi!!! This is what she wanted to try on right away! After talking with Marlene I learned that she made it without a pattern! She is one talented Mimi!!! Bee did not want to take this jacket off! It is so soft!

This hat was from the owner of Twiggs! This is the store that Marlene has some of her cute kids things at! The red jacket was from Tammy!
Mimi sent Bee a bunch of these super cute dresses that she made! This one has two pockets which Bee quickly filled with little toys!

Holiday At Home

Thanksgiving 2010
We had planned on spending the afternoon with Bryna, Olgierd and Felix but plans changed because Bee was sick. The night before Thanksgiving Bee woke up at least 8 times. Her cough and fever kept waking her up. We spent all day of Thanksgiving at home trying to help Bee feel better! We decided to make the best of staying home so we put on our fall colors (Bee's dress made by Mimi!) and we took a family picture and sat down for a family thanksgiving lunch.

It had been 5 years since I had eaten my grandmothers stuffing so I decided to finally make it this year! It turned out great! Homemade cranberry sauce, acorn squash with tempeh and pumpkin muffins. I think Bee had two bites! She didn't feel like eating much since she felt so crummy! Thanksgiving is not a fun day to have a fever! Thankfully Cory and I were feeling great so we got to eat a lot!
Guess who does the dishes every day in our house? Cory!
Thank you Cory!
We are so very thankful for many things! Including...you!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING 2010

Happy Thanksgiving!

Here is what our little turkey has been up too...

Waiting for the Q train! Bee's favorite train is the Q train! You would think it would be the B train!
Bee off to the playground!
Bee and I went to a Manhattan Barnes and Noble to see Julie Andrews! We got a signed copy of her new children's book! It was fun to hear her talk in person! Unfortunately we could not take pictures of her or talk to her so I took a picture of the tv monitor instead!
If you ask Bee what her favorite animal is she will most like saw "owl!" She fell in love with the owls at the zoo! She talks about them alot!
Cool Bee
What do you do on a 63degree day in November? Go to Coney Island Beach of course! It felt like we took a Florida vacation it was so nice and warm! Bee loves to make sand castles! She even got brave enough to go and get water from the ocean by herself!
It was about 12pm when we were on the beach and the sun was shining right on us!
On not sure but I think in the bottom right hand corner there is a fish jumping.
I love how the sun is shining through the clouds! Heaven is up there you know!
Daddy and Bee getting water in the bucket!
Under the board walk...

On the boardwalk!

Last week Dalia and Bee got to enjoy the fall leaves again! I'm sad that they are already almost gone! Fall happens so fast!
Amazing red leaves! Thank you God for creating a beautiful world for us!

Bee looks like she is making her mean face but it is really just her "I really don't want to be smiling right now face." This cute hooded sweater was made by Marlene Loyd!
Michelle (Edgar in belly), Bryna with 8 day old Felix, Annie with 6 week old Bee.
This picture was taken 2 years ago!

Here we are now! We went to Bryna's house to celebrate Felix's 2nd birthday!
Holly, Felix, Edgar and Bee
"I'm ready mom!" Bee really wanted to wear her tutu!

Where's BEE?
Cory on the slackline! It is super hard! I can only take one step! Cory can go all the way across now!
