Happy Spring!

Bee had her 6month checkup on Wednesday. She weighed 17lbs 3 ozs.
The next day we decided to try and spice things up for Bee. I mixed up some baby rice cereal with her breast milk. You can see from the picture that Bee wasn't too thrilled! I thought she was ready for solid food but not yet or at least not this. I tried the mixture and it just tasted like breast milk. I guess Bee just likes it straight from the source!

Bee's tooth!

Bee turned 6 months this week! Here are a few shots on the day she turned 6 months!
Bee is getting so big and can do a lot more. It is the best watching your daughter learn and grow each day!
Happy Belated Easter! Jesus Has Risen!

Bee and church buddie Elsa! Elsa is about a month younger than Bee. At church this past Sunday Bee and Elsa spent some time in the nursery hanging out without any parents (their own parents that is)! They grow up so fast!

Decklan and Chaz in their Easter Sunday sweaters!
Picnic in the Park after church! It was a nice sunny but windy day. (side note: it is finally reached the 70s outside right now and I can't wait to get out side 4/18/09).

Bee's 1st Easter Egg Hunt! I'm sure she would have been happy hanging out in the dirt but I couldn't have her get all dirty and I know there will be plenty of dirty park clothes this summer!
Bee found an egg!

Bee is getting much better at sitting up on her own! After the park we went over to our friends house for another Easter Celebration!

We went to the Brooklyn Children's Museum. We only live a 10 minute walk away! Bee loves to ride on her daddy's shoulders! They are standing in front of a subway care you can hang out in. This is the entrance to "Brooklyn World."

They made it look like a mini version of a Brooklyn Street. The Grocery store was my favorite. This is a little girl's dream! They have every food you can think of in the fake version complete with a working conveyor belt!
Bee and I will be spending a lot of time in this kid version of Brooklyn. There was also a fun bakery and a pizza parlor where you make your own fake pizza.
Fishies
Bee likes to look at everything!
The Musuem also has a special secion for babies and toddlers! Bee was facinated by the water!

A fun dress up section
The baby news channel!
If you come and visit us you can be sure that we will want to go to Children's Museum so you can play with Bee! Also, if you have kids (hint hint Brother Philip) you have got to come here!

Speaking of Brother Philip. It is Callie's 2nd Birthday today!

Happy Bee-day Callie. Callie is Bee's only cousin!

The Secret Life of Bees

Melissa and I started to watch the movie "The Secret Life of Bees" while she was at our house. It was a bit of a sad movie. However...the Bee we all know and love is happy happy happy! And our Bee is not so secret!

Here is Bee at Tom's Diner in Brooklyn. We like to take all our house guests here for breakfast at least once!

Melissa ordered the Supreme Pancakes! Nice choice Mel! Yummy! I ate the Harvest Pancakes!

After Breakfast we headed to the Botanical Garden!

Bee quickly got to work pollinating! Here is Bee flying in the sky!
Mama and Baby Bee
Bee taking a break to sit on the tree branch. She is very observant. She found the small tag on the tree.
Surprise Surprise! Bee liked the flowers!

Melissa is a Star!

My sister Melissa came to New York with the Lemoore High School Choir and on Sunday night they sang at Carnegie Hall! It was awesome! The concert was great and Melissa did a great job. This is us before the concert. Cory was home with Bee and it felt weird being away from Bee. It was the farthest and longest time I have been away from her! She slept like a baby the whole time!

I can't believe she got to perform at Carnegie Hall!

Picture and video are not allowed but I couldn't resist a shot after the concert.
Here is a sound clip from Lux Aeterna (My Light).

I got a few pictures from Melissa's camera.
Chelsea, Melissa, and Jill on their first subway ride.

Sara, Melissa, Ryan, Chelsea, Philip, and Scott at Rockefeller Center.
The sign in front of Carnegie Hall. You can see that it says Lemoore High School Choir, CA!

So, Melissa's school group left this morning but she get's to stay until Wednesday morning with us! Here she is with Bee this morning!

It is so fun having her stay with us!

A little walk to Grand Army Plaza before Melissa, Bee and I hopped on the subway for Manhattan.

Our first stop...F.A.O. Schwarz! For the three of us it was our first time on the piano! Bee was so light I had to help her light up the keys.

Melissa on the piano!Bee was facinated with the Big Red Dog! Bee loved the toy store! She squealed with delight as we looked at everything! We will definitely be going back! I bought her a cloth book (from the Eebees) and her aunty Melissa bought her a stuffed Clifford Dog. A little smaller than this one! It is her first stuffed animal from F.A.O. but not the last!

Bee's first rocking horse experience!

Bee is on a duck.We went to the Disney store!

Super Bee can talk!

Bee says daddy!

I can't remember where I got this strawberry outfit but it still had the tags on it and it is pretty old. This seems like an outfit I would have worn in the 80s!Berry was my top choice for a middle name. BBB!

Bryna (Felix's mommy) bought us all super hero onesies from a man who makes them here in Brooklyn. We planned on wearing them for our weekly hangout and so I made them some superhero accessories! Bee's cape was on old silk skirt I never wore!
What I thought was interesting was that the onesies were all 3-6 month size! They all fit! Bee's just fits a little more like spandex.
I don't know if I need to mention this but I think Super Bee is super cute!

After taking pictures of our baby super hero's Bryna, Michelle and I went on a walk. It felt like a warm summer day! The park was full of people. We ran into some other mommies that we knew. Here baby Leonardo (who is a week only but can crawl!) crawls over to Baby Bee. If Bee stays this cute she is going to have to get used to boys making their move!

Bee looks cute in her shirt and jeans! Aunty Shelley gave Bee this shirt to us when I was pregnant! I thought it was perfect for her to wear because the night before this picture was taken Bee kept waking up so no one was sleeping!
Bee is about 5 1/2 but we wanted to celebrate her 6month b-day a little early with some presents that Cory bought her a long time ago! She loves toys!
