A Night Out

The Crazy lady walked out right before us today. In case you forgot, she is the lady who lives up stairs that wears the same outfit everyday and only goes outside to ask for cigarettes.

Cory, Jordan, Jen, (Jordan's friend from high school who now goes to school in Brooklyn) and I went out for pizza at Lombardi's. It was delicious.

After dinner we took Jordan out for his first cupcake at Magnolia's. Check out the slew of people waiting to get in.

On the way home, walking up Hudson Street we passed Drea de Matteo who was one of the main characters on the "Sopranos" (she was killed for talking to the feds. She also played Joey Tribiani's sister on "Joey"). I went up to her and told her that I was sorry that she got clipped. She said that she was too. I asked her if I could take her picture and she said "Yes." She posed in the "I don't know pose" because she didn't want to be killed off of the show. I know that when we see celebrities we put up pictures that we got off the internet, but I actually took this one!

What?

What was the artist thinking? Those aren't eyes, they are bxxbies! Jordan, Cory and I took a long walk in the rain to the financial district. The sky overlooking the Statue of Liberty was very gloomy. Happy Birthday to me! Cory's parents sent me an earlier birthday package of the two things I love most. Dark Chocolate and Ginger! Thank you Lyle and Marlene! Do you notice Audrey Hepburn in the background? You might recognice this poster from the "Gap."

Jordan Has Arrived

"Is that sixty containers of hummus in your fridge Annie?"
"Yes, you are correct!"
At my work, the refrigerator is acting up and they had to get rid of the stock. I helped them out by taking the hummus. I received some crazy looks because I took so much, but they don't understand how much Cory loves hummus. He could eat 4 a day for 15 days, and I think Cory is up to the challenge. He has definitely been training for this for a long time.

While walking down Broadway in Soho, Keanu Reeves past in front of us (and me without my camera).
Jordan Bentley has arrived! He will be staying with us until the 29th. I am sure that Cory and Jordan will be going on lots of adventures that I will get to blog about.

Cory & Bowie

Who is that walking to the left of Cory? Yes, that is right. It is David Bowie! We were walking behind him for a block and a half before we even knew it was him.

I'm coming home!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Saturday, November 10th I will be in Lemoore until the following Wednesday. Philip and Allyson are getting married that night. I am so excited to be back home for a while. If there is anything you would like from New York, now is your chance to tell me or don't expect anything. Unless you want hugs, because I carry plenty of those all the time.

Guess who the woman is sitting at the table with her head down? It is Amy Sedaris. Cory went to see her at a book signing at Barnes & Noble in Union Square. There were a lot of people there, so this is as close as he could get. Cory gets to see all the celebrities.

Ferg-Fest

This blog is all about Saturday night's benefit party. Our internet has been down, which explains why I am just now blogging about it. If you read the last blog and checked out the website about the benefit then you will already know that it was to raise funds for some of Cory's friend's trip to Africa to make a documentary about witch orphans. The host of the night was Jason Zimbler (AKA Ferguson on "Clarissa Explains It All" and good friend of Joe Sousa). Cory is a big Nickalodean fan and was excited to finally meet Jason. Cory and I had a great time talking to Jason. We talked a lot about Nickelodeon shows, specifically Double Dare. Jason was wearing a Double Dare t-shirt that he wore when he was a contestant. One of the things we learned, was that the green slime they used tasted good. Who knew! Cory and I also spent a lot of time hanging out with Little Marvin. Marvin is Cory's new music manager/publicist. Marvin is really cool and we are thankful that he is as excited about Cory's music career as much as we are. We made Dot Calm CD's, business cards, and stickers to give out to guests. Cory did a great performance of his new song. He was the hit of the party. The party was so much fun and I hope that they raised a lot of money.

Party Time

This is what Union Square looks like from the top floor of Filene's Basement Department Store. This was one of the locations of the music video Cory has started to shoot. When it is complete you will be able to check it out on his myspace page. Cory and I have also been working on the packaging for his CD were are distributing. Tonight is the benefit his friends are putting on. Click here to see information about the party tonight and take notice of Cory's image. Will used a picture of Cory that he took and used it in the flyer he made. Cory will be performing tonight at the show, so I know you would all like to be there but I will try to take some pictures.

Randy Newman

Last night Cory and I ate at the "Hummus Place" restaurant on Macdougal Street. A man Cory got to talking to in Whole Foods said it has the best hummus. The hummus was really good and really fresh (they made a new batch for our order). Although, Cory (the hummus critic) said that he has eaten better hummus. After dinner we took a stroll around New York looking for materials for Cory's CD covers. Not only did we find material, we found so much more. So much in fact, that I waited on the steet while Cory went home to get a traveling cart so we could get it all home. Two of our best finds were a nice record player with speakers and an old handmade quilt.

Tonight was Randy Newman's concert at Carnegie Hall. He put on a really great show. He even did three encores. We were up in the nose bleed section but we didn't mind because Carnegie Hall was really cool to be in. After the concert we went through an exit from the balcony that put us outside on a ledge. This is where the street picture was taken. If the city looks a little glossy it is because it has been raining all evening long.

Thanks for all of your concerned phone calls with the plane accident today. Cory and I didn't even know it had happened until we started getting phone calls. We are far away from the site of the accident.
