My 1st Mother's Day to me!

Happy Mother's Day to all mommies! I had a very special Mother's Day!!! It was the best!
I have a lot of very special mother's in my life! My mom, mother-in-law, step-mom and other special mommy friends! My mom was my best friend and I miss her terribly but...she left many special friends for me! I could probably list most of them but I would be afraid to forget anyone so to all of the special mom's in my life..thank you so much! Also, I can't forget to say Happy Mother's Day to my CA and NY friends that have kids too!!!

This is a picture of my mom Sue in college. This is one of my favorite pictures of her! She had this picture taken for my dad (He gave her the necklace).
For Mother's Day Cory surprised me with this picture! It was drawn by Cristina! She is working on another one also. I can't wait to see it! When I saw the drawing it made me cry! I love this picture of my mom! It was the most thoughtful gift Cory could have given me! Bee liked looking at Grandma Sue! I wanted to take this picture with us all day long and pretend I was hanging out with my mom...I didn't!

Mom, Mimi, Marlene!!! We love you! Thanks for being such a great Mom, Mother-in-law and Mimi for us!

Jill, We love you and thank you for being a great step-mom! You look like a movie star in the picture!

It was a bee-utiful day for Mother's Day!
Bee and I as we are headed off to church.
I bought this fabric at a stoop sale a couple of weeks ago from a nice lady in Park Slope who gave me a good deal because I told her I was new to sewing and she wanted to encourage me to keep at it! So, I couldn't help myself but to make us all matching outfits for Mother's Day! I think I will try to do this every year! It was so much fun!
Cory took us out to lunch! Daughter and Daddy are so cute!
On the way to eat I stopped at a little girl's lemonade stand (I should have taken a picture) because her sign read "25 cents for Mommies, 50 cents for Fathers and everyone else and free mint!" It was delicious!
We also had dessert!
Family Picture!!! In about a week we will also be posting more pictures. Cory read on brooklynian.com that in a community garden in Brooklyn a photographer was taking free family portraits. So, we went and they will be emailing them to us in a week! This picture was taken by a nice guy passing by.
This is the face Bee makes when I take her food away. She wants the carrot I have in my hand.
Sitting with my doll.
This was the best Mother's Day! I love this baby girl! Mother's day is now my favorite day! Since my mom left this day had been a difficult day but now it is great because I have Bee and it helps me remember my wonderful mom!
Congratualations Jessica and JT on the birth of Jordan! Jordan was born on the 7th! Jessica (younger sister to Rachel, daughter of Kerry and Rick) was one of my best childhood friends!

Last evening for dinner Bee had sweet potatoes!!! So far they are her favorite. She ate the most in one meal! Maybe because she has a new high chair? Maybe because she likes to feed herself? Or maybe it was so she could give me a present in her diaper this morning?
Wrong way!
Bee also likes to drink water from a big girl cup!

This is the face she makes after she swallows the water!

I'm sure I didn't need to put all 3 feeding clips up but I couldn't decide. I like the last one the best for some reason!

YEAH for Mother's Day. I love your matching outfits. It reminds me of our family, because my mom would always make the 6 of us matching outfits :)

Great Mother's Day Blog. Thank you for the kind words and your tribute to the past! Your outfits are fabulous! That turquoise looks terrific on everyone! Great family photos. And, the bee eating pics and videos are really fun. She is doing a good job all by herself! My, she is growing up!
Hugs and Kisses to all!
Love,
Mimi
