Adventure Annie

Adventure Annie has returned from Maine. I was on a "Adventure Bound" trip with 54 students. It was amazing. This morning I was white water rafting. I am on the front left side of the boat. (on your right). These pictures are from the "Adventure Bound" website.

I did not have my camera with me at all. I am regretting this off course, so please use your imagination. I will try to get some pictures from some of the students. These pictures are from the "Adventure Bound" website.

I can't even begin to describe how must of an amazing opportunity it was to be with my 30 new students and also the returning students while participating in exciting adventures. I already know my students names and their personalities. "Adventure Bound" is a youth program that is so wonderful.
The first day we had dinner, played bored games and went to sleep in our cabins. I stayed in a cabin with 7 other girl students.
The next day we played fun team games on the lawn, then we broke into groups of 9 where we participated in obstacles that we had to work together as a team to complete. After lunch we then went on a ropes course. The first two was the "tight rope" and "cat walk." Then we were onto the "superman" and finaly the giant swing. The swing was my favorite because you were flying through the air in between a forest of trees. Amazing. The next day we traveled to the river to go rock climbing. After paddling to the other side of the river we spend the morning on the side of a huge cliff. I climbed a really tough rock. It was so hard but it was amazing to get to the top. Next, I rappeled down the side of the cliff. Again, words (at least not mine) can begin to desribe how much fun it was. Everthing we did was also so beautiful. This trip was incredible and on of my most amazing experiences I have ever had. This school year is off to a great start.
